Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a new Assistant Accountantto join our team in Leeds The Assistant Accountantwill assist in central accounting and control activities for the UK business and reports into the UK Finance Manager. The position is a new role in Leeds and has been created following restructuring in the business in which the function is being moved from Dublin. As such initial responsibilities will be building competence within Leeds and transferring activities from the Dublin team. This position will offer the opportunity to career progression within the central accounting team and potentially across other areas of finance in the UK finance hub being developed as part of the current transformation process. We can offer Study Support with this role Salary: GBP 30,000 : GBP 35,000 Duties and responsibilities will include:Overheads accounting and balance sheet preparation: Managing the capital process: Managing the capital approval process: Processing capital invoices: Month End close: Fixed asset reconciliations: Assisting with central accounting processes: Standing journals (trading and corporate): Payroll accruals: Central BS reconciliations: Assisting with the month end close: Assisting with the intercompany process: Assistance with statutory and compliance activities: Other ad hoc duties as required Candidate Requirements:Part qualified accountant with strong technical accounting skills: Strong academic background: Good verbal and written communication skills: High levels of integrity and ethics: Possess energy and positive attitude with a desire to learn and problem solve: Deadline / results orientated: Well organised with excellent attention to detail: Demonstrates ability to own the role: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, TM1 (desirable): Oracle (JDE) or similar accounting system (desirable) All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
