Project Overview Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas. RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984:acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five:train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). Project Location Overview Brownsville, Texas is a city known for its diverse history, tradition, and rich culture. Located in the southernmost region in the beautiful state of Texas, lays Brownsville a rich, tropical oasis bordering the Rio Grande River and near the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. Brownsville embraces innovation, looks forward to the future and beyond Position Summary The purpose of the Area Planner is to assist in the tracking and execution of the plot area of the project they are assigned to.The position will report to the Field Project Controls Manger and have one or two direct reports under their supervision.The position will require the ability to convey status of the area they are assigned to and upcoming work fronts the plan calls for as the project continues through execution. Responsibilities : Provides comments and recommendations for planning and scheduling requirements relative to staffing and project control. Prepares detailed staffing plans for planning and scheduling activities. Reviews design scope criteria and quantities for completeness and reasonableness, and coordinates with the project to develop additional estimating bases when information is incomplete.: Reviews or assists in reviewing proposal provisions related to schedule and material control, and develops supporting data for contract negotiations.: Interfaces with designated Bechtel management and client counterparts for specific planning and scheduling tasks.: Conducts personnel performance reviews when delegated.: Supervises the collection, verification, and integration of work scope for all entities into the total project plan. Reviews the representation of project scope in schedules. Establishes the conceptual scope of schedule studies. Prepares and analyzes comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between the projects. Performs productivity analysis of construction operations and verifies results. Establishes productivity basis to be utilized in estimates, as developed in concurrence with Construction.Reviews labor estimates for reasonableness.: Plans and supervises the effort to establish milestones for the total project or major portions of the pro
