The Applications Analyst provides user support related to computer applications including research, assessment, testing, troubleshooting, implementation, training, and related documentation. Together with users, vendors, corporate office, and site IS personnel the Applications Analyst will develop and implement enhancements to meet user functional requirements, provide technical support and consultation to the Director of Information Technology, be proactive in problem solving and system/service improvements. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Works closely with the Help Desk to provide EMR software user support. Builds & modifies data entry layouts for the EMR software application as directed Serves as secondary resource to other application support areas as directed. Analyzes the EMR application to determine needed modifications and/or enhancements. Tests and reviews new department EMR application builds and modifications to ensure EMR software meet the department's needs. Provides orientation and EMR training to end users as directed. Assist in EMR system upgrades, patches and enhancements as directed. Provide on-call and callback coverage as required. Provides assistance in building ad-hoc reports to the department and hospital when required. Demonstrates professional and effective interpersonal communication skills at all times. Maintains and respects confidentiality and ensures privacy in all matters pertaining to patients and their care, as well as matters related to employees and hospital business. Attends required orientation, ethics, and any other required educational activities. Maintains a good record of attendance and punctuality. Assists in preparing and maintaining training materials for Physicians, Nurses, other Clinical Providers, and on site IT personnel; including hard copy and on-line text and related policies/procedures. Perform other duties as assigned EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Two to four years of college required in a relevant field of study. 1-year minimum Possesses a good working knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office
