Service Care Solutions are looking for a Adult Safeguarding Case Conference Officer to work within the Dorset Police on a 12-month contract. Location: Poole Job role/responsibilities: To prepare comprehensive reports to be shared with other partners, to safeguard and promote the welfare of Adults at Risk, Vulnerable Adults or children who are considered at significant risk of harm. Represent Dorset Police at non-complex Adult Protection Conferences MARMM as directed by the AS DS. Prepare comprehensive reports for Adult Safeguarding Conferences, for discussion at the meeting when necessary. Conduct PNC/Intelligence and Police National Database checks PND for each family member. Update Niche to ensure the correct warning flags alerts are in place. Complete Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme DVDS - Claire’s Law applications research and prepare/draft wording intended to be disclosed to applicants and submit to police inspector for authorisation. To deliver Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme Claire’s Law disclosures to potential victims at a suitable location, which will include victim’s home address. To liaise with the Domestic Abuse Advisors in relation to the above disclosures and ongoing support and guidance. To support the Adult at Risk DS with primary enquiries on concern cases as directed. To support the Adult Safeguarding Supervisor with HRDA/MARAC enquiries as directed. Knowledge/Experience: Evidence of sound decision making skills in relation to backssing situations and determining what action is required to be taken. Evidence of influencing and negotiating at all levels both verbally and in written format. Evidence excellent ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written report format, using listening and questioning techniques. Experience of working at supervisory level.
