Inventory Specialist/AP Clerk

Description:
SUMMARY Responsible for entering and paying daily bills, compiling and verifying data, and assisting the Controller/Assistant Controller. Assisting departments with inventory reconciliation, costing, analysis and cycle count procedures. Work closely with Other Payables Clerks. Communicates via mail, fax, telephone, email, or in person. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Compile and sort documents for daily purchase transactions. Code, verify, and post A/P invoices. Print and mail A/P checks on a timely basis. Maintain accurate A/P files and audit documentation. Check ledger coding for A/P transactions and fix errors. Update vendor accounts as necessary. Work with managers and controllers to ensure proper recording of inventory movement. Perform monthly reconciliations of inventory variances. Assist with inventory cycle counts and annual audit. Assist with inventory costing. QUALIFICATIONS Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to sit for long periods of time entering data. Ability to take direction, ask questions, and work independently. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel. Effective team member. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience helpful.
