Your Job Dark Vision, a Koch Engineered Solutions company based in North Vancouver, is looking for an Accountant to assist in the ongoing upkeep of our accounting and finances. This is a fully on-site position with flexibility to work from home occasionally as-needed. The successful candidate will play an integral part in handling the data and processes that keep Dark Vision's accounts and finances humming and close out the financial period each month. This is a great opportunity for a junior to intermediate accountant to join an exciting, growing technology company. Solid interpersonal skills will be required as you will be frequently interacting with our engineers, who prefer to crunch other types of numbers. If you're awesome, expect to be involved in financial, business, and management reporting before long. Our Team Reporting to the Systems Accountant, you will be part of a small and growing Accounting & Finance team handling Dark Vision's full cycle accounting needs. What You Will Do Ownership of the Accuracy of Our Costs: We spend the company's hard-earned dollars as if they were our own. We want to know where the costs are, where they are going, and are we getting the best bang for our buck. Relationship Building: Build great relationships with our engineers and other internal teams; learn as much as possible about the technology we build to help ensure we are classifying our expenses to the correct projects. Supplier Liaison: Be the primary point of contact when vendors need help with the green stuff. Dealing with these key partners quickly and efficiently will require you to be highly organized while taking a people-focused approach. Everything & Anything: There will be a wide assortment of standard and not-so-standard tasks that you will be expected to complete. No task will be either above or beneath you.
