This program includes environmental surveillance, control of mosquitoes at the breeding source, and targeted adult mosquitoes control. Each step of the process contributes to reducing the risk of mosquito borne disease.In support of this commitment, we seek a passionate individual for Clarke’s seasonal Night Operations Technician position.Night Operations Technicians are responsible for driving a company vehicle and/or operating an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) with a spray unit attached to apply a mosquito control product to contracted communities, subdivisions, industrial sites, and other harborage areas in an effort to control the mosquito population.Multiple positions are available. No prior background is required. Paid training is included!Shift:PART TIME ON CALLWorking approx 7pm-1am AS NEEDEDPay: $9.25 per hourSeasonal Benefits Available! Job assignments and Responsibilities:- Must be able to work through the end of our 2013 season (September/October)- Capable to use hand held technical devices including, but not limited to, smartphones, gps, and systems applications- Utilize a map to drive to assigned treatment site(s) and navigate through treatment routes while abiding all traffic laws- Communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal forms- Have a current drivers License with an excellent driving history- Applicant must be comfortable performing assigned duties while operating a vehicle through various residential communities, urban environments and traffic patterns where environmental conditions are affected by weather, pedestrians and other operating vehicles- May be required to obtain state required pesticide licensing (training provided)- Performs daily inspections of vehicle and equipment to verify working condition and communicate any issues to supervisor- Apply treatments accurately and in a safe, proper and timely manner- Possess a high-school diploma or equivalent with high-school level math skills- Document daily work activity including product used to ensure completion of customer contracts- Must be available to workPART TIME ON CALL, working approx 7pm-1pm AS NEEDED- Responsible for making sure safe work practices and procedures are followed at all timeNecessary experience:Successful Applicant Must- Must be eighteen years of age or older- Expertise to sit, drive a vehicle and/or ATV for extensive amounts of time following specified routesOther QualificationsWe offer a team atmosphere where each individual can and does make a difference.
