Working in collaboration with educators, School Specialty reaches beyond the scope of textbooks to help teachers, guidance counselors, and school administrators ensure that every student reaches his or her full potential.We are currently seeking a VP of Marketing to join our team in Greenville/Appleton, Wisconsin.Job SummaryThe VP Marketing will be charged with defining, creating, and refining an integrated, multi-channel, customer-centric, marketing strategy, while also further defining the Organization's marketing structure and business processes in order to drive such core strategic themes as customer driven innovation, organic growth, and the leveraging of overall scale and capabilities. This individual will ultimately ensure that the Group's marketing message is consistent and that all content/product development is properly aligned with agreed upon marketing strategies.Summary of Key responsibilities- Business/Job Acumen - Applies broad knowledge and seasoned background to address complex/critical issues. Displays deep insight into the competition's strengths, weaknesses and strategies.- Fiscal/Financial Responsibility - Manages resources wisely and makes decisions that enhance the organization and stakeholder's financial position. Holds self and team accountable for delivering commitments.- Responsible for the recruiting, hiring, training, retention and development of the Marketing leaders within the group and Marketing associates.Qualifications: . fifteen years of increasingly responsible business background including several years in a leadership position responsible for the marketing function.- Inspirational Leadership - Communicates a compelling vision that generates excitement, enthusiasm, and commitment to the company mission.
