Responsibilities GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT: Working under general supervision of the research study coordinator and senior research assistant provides support for clinical research studies. May be responsible for the following activities: scheduling potential participants for clinical trials, planning and set-up of patient study appoin tments, maintaining and updating data generated by the study, data entry, assisting with assorted administrative work on patient documents, folders and research projects. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. May communicate with patients and caregivers participating in clinical trials, including scheduling appointments and tests, patient education, procedural instruction, and follow-up. Serves as a liaison between patient and Principal Investigators and as a resource for participants and their families. 2. Assists with maintaining patient records and appropriate reporting forms.
